Days Gone By - Family Saga Fiction

The stories on this page were first penned under the name Gumbie, as in Gumbie Cat, to differentiate  them from my M/M stories. I began to revise them under the name of Ester Phillips. Unfortunately due to illness the revisions were left incomplete, and given my circumstances likely to remain so. I am including them here because I know many of you enjoyed the stories and I have had some recent requests asking me to post them again. Some are still rough around the edges, as I have not had the time or energy to refine them. Still, I hope you enjoy.

The Ester Phillips stories are all family drama period pieces set in the 1950's and 1960's. A lot of them include the discipline of children, a very controversial subject these days. The thing to remember is that the stories reflect the ethos of the times they are set in and of course the children are entirely fictional. If such stories offend you, then don't read them, it's as simple as that.

Note: The stories do not in any way condone the real life physical discipline of children.
